Ching Sze-Yin, Cicy
Dr. Ching Sze-Yin, Cicy was born and raised in Hong Kong. In 1996, she set up her own studio, and became a full-time practising artist, creating hand-made jewellery and small objects using mainly metal, porcelain and glass. In 2003, she obtained a scholarship for her Master studies at the University of Sunderland, UK. In 2013, she received her Doctor of Fine Art from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University, Australia. She has become a full-time lecturer at the Academy of Visual Arts (AVA) of the Hong Kong Baptist University since 2011.
Her works were selected four times by the Itami International Jewellery Exhibition, and have been exhibited numerously in Hong Kong and overseas. Several institutions and museums have acquired her works including Hong Kong Heritage Museum, The Design Centre, University of Sunderland, UK, National Museum, L’viv, Ukraine, The Slovak Glass Museum, Lednickè Rovnè, Slovakia.
